Större hackspett hona / Woodpecker female
Det var mycket långt avstånd till hackspetten, lite för långt för min kamera. Även om bilden inte är klar och fin … så gillar jag motivet. Hackspetten samlar tallkottar.
It was very far distance to the woodpecker, a bit too long for my camera. Although the picture is not clear and nice … I like the subject. Pecker collect pine cones.

Större hackspett i sin naturliga miljö. Här är ett av hackspettens favoritträd. Det kan man tydligt se på backen runt trädet som är fullt med kottar rensade på frön. Honan sitter och letar fram frön i en kotte som hon har kilat fast i trädstammen och här syns även en till kotte som är fastkilad lite längre ned på trädets stam.
Woodpecker in their natural environment. Here is one of the woodpecker’s favorite tree. It can clearly be seen on the ground around the tree that is full of cones cleaned of seeds. The female sitting and looking up seeds of a spruce cone that she has wedged in the trunk of the tree, and this is also visible to a cone which is keyed a bit further down the tree trunk.
